Petethepiratesquid formed in Berlin, back in march 2002 and have released several split recordings before finally recording their first full-length in 2007. One of the reasons it took this long is the fact that the four band members are as of now located in Berlin/ Germany as well as Malmö/ Sweden. Despite all the moving, though, they always managed to keep the band alive, practice once in a while and play more than 100 shows so far. They have toured Germany, France and the UK, played in Czech, Poland, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Bands they’ve played and toured with include Shokei, The Mock Heroic, A Fine Boat That Coffin, Mr. Willis Of Ohio, Ampere and Ainaloa. Musically, PTPS are often labeled as (scr)e(a)mo or post-hc. influences range from indie to hardcore and punk, mid 90s emo to pop music – basically everyone throws in what they like.
