review(s):

This is Part #1 of the Green Corridor 12" Series on Altin Village & Mine. There will four 12" (with Xiu Xiu, Chad Van Gaalen, Shooting Spires, Dd.Mm.Yyyy, etc.) that hold an artwork which, if connected, results in a 24" x 24" picture. The Oneida side is 2 tracks of ambience and drone. That is until the 2nd track builds up into a more tribal primal Liars-y sounding weird thing. Pterodactyl, immediately the vocal melodies are what you notice. All buttery and in harmony. The music is a blend of scratchy lo fi indie, fuzzy feedback, weird noises, psychedelia and experimental rock. All of that smothered in these tasty vocal harmonies.

Looking for a trip more vitally psychedelic than (what`s left of) the Dead at Madison Square Garden? Secret Project Robot, located near Glasslands in a slice of industrial Williamsburg waterfront that still feels miraculously alive, is something of a perpetual Happening, housing rehearsal spaces, galleries, and at a performance space decorated with wending cardboard tree-branches. Add the art-throbbing Pterodactyl (releasing their new Worldwild), the relentless kraut jams of Oneida (who practice elsewhere in the building)

Amazing split 12" with new songs by each band - which is the first part of the The Green Corridor Split 12" Series on Altin Village & Mine.

Oneida drop down a level to reveal a more ambient soundtracked side. On the flip Pterodactyl cover 'I See You' off the best Byrds album & then shoegaze into some backwards guitar loops.

A Euro-only split. Oneida's side is another new direction for the band--over two long tracks, Oneida work with almost ambient drone and more electronic textures. It's possibly the least-accessible version of the band, but it's great to see them continue to try new things. Pterodactyl's side is more song-oriented, and it fares better than Worldwild in the psych category. Not as energetic or as noisy as their LPs, but very melodic, layered, and interesting.

OK I'm not massively familiar with either artist here. I've heard a bit of Oneida here and there but I wouldn't say I was an expert. We scored these from Altin Village and they've been sat hidden in the office for a week until I salvaged them as I wanted to hear it. The Oneida side is 2 tracks of ambience and drone... that is until the 2nd track builds up into a more tribal primal Liars-y sounding weird thing. It's cool I like it! Pterodactyl are a band who have escaped me over the years. Immediately the vocal melodies are what you notice. All buttery and in harmony... the music is a blend of scratchy lo fi indie, fuzzy feedback, weird noises, psychedelia and experimental rock... All of that smothered in these tasty vocal harmonies. I'm suitably impressed! Wax only on Altin Village! ?

„The Green Corridor” to kapitalny pomysl niemieckiej wytwórni Altin Village – seria czterech winylowych splitów, polaczonych okladkami, ukladajacymi sie w wieksza calosc niczym puzzle.
Enigmatyczne tytuly mozna by zastapic „slow” i „fast”, lecz to byloby zbyt czytelne. Mistrzowie gitarowego hipnotyzmu coraz blizej zasad minimalizmu?
Cos w strone kapel zwiazanych z Woodsist. Tutaj uderzaja z dwóch stron. Najpierw kowerem I See You The Byrds, zrobionym swietnie i cieplo wlasnie w takiej konwencji. Doskonale otwarcie intrygujacego cyklu.
